Track Santa on Google Earth…

Google tracks SantaThere is nothing quite more fun than running in to check the computer every five minutes with the little ones on Christmas Eve to see where Santa is. In the midst of celebrating with family, worship, and good food, enjoy watching your children learn some geography while Santa travels the globe. Google Earth provides the kml file to load activating the tracking option. Just for information NORAD tracks Santa’s movements as well for national security.

Bring some real power to your Bluetooth Phone

BluePhoneEliteWant your screen saver to turn off when you walk in the room? What about having iTunes automatically pause and play when you leave or comeback? What about being able to send SMS messages from your computer. BluePhoneElite will allow you to do all this and more. I am dying to give this app a try but my Blackberry is not supported but many other phones are compatible. This is a must to show to your Windows friend who want to see some of the power built into a Mac.

Wii Damage - Gamers get off the couch and get active

Wii DamageBeing the parent of four, I have for many years walked through our den only to chastise our Playstation engrossed children for not being outside playing baseball or at least kick the can. Apparently game makers realized this parental frustration and produced one of the most recent game consoles, the Nintendo Wii. Yes, strange name but great gaming console. Now, I am not a gamer per se, but I have been watching the Wii for sometime for one of its unique features. In response to my desire to have my children more active Wii makers included gyro enabled controllers that allow gamers to use arm motions to bowl, box, or play tennis. In my opinion an actual tennis match is far more fun than a virtual one but this new interaction with games has motivated many couch potatoes to remove themselves from merely working out their thumbs to more strenuous motions. It has so captivated the inner enthusiast of many gamers that they have overcome the protective wrist strap barriers and flung their gyro-controllers at unsuspecting televisions and small children. I first learned of the danger of this new sport from a television documentary, but one Google search away was this wonderful blog setup to report these acts of destruction. So all Wii gamers beware, these are not games for the faint of heart, or at least not for your cheap Japanese television.
