EPC General Assembly

Today I head out for the EPC General Assembly in Highlands Ranch, Co. I am excited about the time in the mountains but I am also excited to see and hear first hand all of the exciting things taking place in our denomination. In addition I will be able to take in teaching from the likes of Richard Pratt and Phil Parshall I will post any relevant happenings here.

Bad for Memphis, good for Boston - Dr Carol Johnson leaving…

In an earlier post I espoused my great admiration for Dr. Carol Johnson the current superintendent for the Memphis City School System. It was announced over the weekend that she will be taking a job in Boston as the superintendent there. Dr. Johnson made no assertions that she would remain in Memphis for the long-term and that her goal was to leave a team in place that would be capable of carrying out her vision. My prayer is that she has been successful in that mission. Dr. Johnson, we are excited for the city of Boston and sad to be losing you. Thank you for the mission that you carried out in our city and thank you for your dreams that you have inspired young people with. We will miss you.
