Bess is competing in a volleyball tournament this weekend in Shreveport, La, the Red River Classic. Yesterday was pool play to be flighted for the tournament. I could not have been more proud of the Metro girls. They played three matches and came out 3-0. They were down and against the wall on several occasions but fought through and came out on top. We saw some brilliant play from every girl on the team which is exciting to watch. I will say as a commentary however that we got all our monies worth out of this tournament. Every match went to three games and many of them went extra points. I definitely have more gray hair this morning than I did yesterday morning. Today we enter the bracket play and judging from results yesterday we have a pretty good spot in the bracket. Of course by making the gold bracket our first game does not happen until 3pm this afternoon. Great for Bess who wanted to sleep in but bad for Daddy who, if they do well, will not to drive out of Shreveport until about 7:30pm. I wish I could have slept later.
