Today I head out for the EPC General Assembly in Highlands Ranch, Co. I am excited about the time in the mountains but I am also excited to see and hear first hand all of the exciting things taking place in our denomination. In addition I will be able to take in teaching from the likes of Richard Pratt and Phil Parshall I will post any relevant happenings here.

Robbro and I have agreed to live blog the upcoming Christian Life Conference at 2PC on Jan 19th - 21st. Yes, I have further decided to embrace my inner geek and provide this service to all 4 of my readers, but I could not resist the temptation. Check the site for updates and links.

This is not something that I would ever have occasion to use, however, I can see that it would be a very useful plugin for some of the theologans that I know. The ESV blog has posted a link to a Microsoft Word plugin that will insert ESV test in Word documents next to the original Greek or Hebrew.

For those of you that love your moleskine here is a new Bible with a very similar form factor. I blogged just the other day about how I loved taking notes in my moleskine during sermons. I am not sure if this would work for me, but for those of you with smaller hands that can write in small places this might be idea. Here are a few reviews just for some more information.
More info.
My friend Robb shared this on his blog and I could not help but plagiarize due to the coolness factor.
Here is a kmz file that you can load into Google Earth to view many places mentioned in the Bible.
Thanks to the ESV blog.
The ultimate Bible lifehack
I have never been much of a note taker in my Bible. I always sort of looked enviously on those Bibles that showed years of sermon notes and wear. The problem is that I can hardly read my writing that is composed at a desk much less my own script that is patterned on onion skin paper while resting in my lap. As of late, I have adopted a wonderful note taking book, the moleskine which of course is championed by 43 Folders. The moleskine has large enough rule that if I concentrate hard I can make out my scribble the next day. In the two months that I have been doing this I have really enjoyed having those notes to go back to.
