This article in Reuters were it to come true would bring 700,000 jobs into the economy. Eisenhower got this, I wish politicians today would understand how infrastructure spending boosts the economy. The current fuel tax of 18.4 cents has not been raised since 1993 - you can only imagine how much less highway work that buys the Federal government in the last 15 years. Of course with fuel prices as high was they are today there is no courage in Washington to raise fuel taxes, though at some point there will HAVE to be a way to get more monies into the Highway Trust Fund.
